E-PAYMENT FOR HOME AND COMMERCIAL NEEDS USING GPRS COMMUNICATION

ABSTRACT

Now a day’s Many real time applications connected to web(internet). This is very use full and help full for customers to see application(requirements) from anywhere in the world. These web connected applications are belongs to server client relation. TCP, UDP and HTTP protocols are used in this concept. Data transfer to web server through GPRS (General packet radio services) communication. We can transfer long data through this GPRS. Many Embedded Networking applications coming under this model only.

This project consists 16X2 lcd and 4X4 keypad. Thermal printer is also connected to microcontroller but it was optional. This will be applicable for paying of electricity, water, cable TV…etc. service man enter bill in terminal and generates slip(If thermal printer provided). This information already stored in microcontroller. The data we can see on 16X2 lcd also at the time o entering data on terminal. Microcontrollerdevelop TCP/IP stack with standard format. Stack data consists of details of bills information like date, price, and number of units. This information stored inweb server and we can see from anywherein the world. After completing this process if payments are completed through internet or manual then the data will be removed by department manually.Otherwise department have information of due bills and take further action. This entire system avoids paper work and manual checking

Here we use 8051 as a microcontroller with 5v DC Power supply.  Serial(UART) protocol is primary concern here. The main heart of this project is GSM/GPRS modem and it work on GPRS AT commands. 16X2 lcd is connected to microcontroller through Digital I/O lines.4X4 keypad is directly connected to microcontroller. Thermal printer is also serial connectivity but it was optional.
